Robert Maycon

Robert Myles Maycon, everyone called him Bob, passed away last month. While attending Central, Bob was an avid sports fan. He played in Intramural Sports, both in baseball and basketball. He was a member of the 214th Class intramural basketball team. Bob had several places he called home: Boynton Beach, Margate, Cherry Hill, and of course Philly. He was a die-hard Eagles fan, and had attended the NFL Championship game in 1960 when they beat the Packers 17-13. Accordingly, when the team became a contender for the Super Bowl, 2018,  in Minneapolis, he got tickets and both he and his son, Howard  made the trek, with the idea of once again cheering the Eagles to victory, Eagles 33, Patriots 17. Several classmates indicated that shortly after Bob returned home, he took ill, and passed away. Details of his life are sketchy, but at least Bob had the opportunity to see his Eagles victorious once again. Fly Eagles Fly!
