Elliot worked for thirty-one years in the garment center in NY. In 1995 he joined his wife in the art business. Carol has an art gallery in Chestnut Hill called the Carol Schwartz Gallery. In 1993, the Schwartzes moved back to West Mounty Airy, "to my roots" as Elliot puts it. They have three daughters and seven grandchildren.
