Larry is a partner in Wolf Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen LLP, Philadelphia, PA, specifically the Firm's Financial Services and Corporate/Securities Practice Groups. He represents financial institutions, primarily in the areas of the documentation of secured transactions, and bankruptcy and loan workout. Those secured transactions typically take the form of asset -based, structured finance and real estate transactions. Mr. Lesser is also responsible for a substantial corporate practice that primarily involves the representation of privately -owned companies that have assumed an aggressive acquisition strategy.
Larry was a founding partner of the Montgomery County law firm of Lesser & Kaplin, P.C., which concentrated in the representation of financial institutions.
Mr. Lesser received his B.S. from Temple University in 1964 and his J.D. from Villanova University in 1967.
Mr. Lesser was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1967. He is a member (Montgomery County Chairman) of the Corporation, Banking and Business Law Section; American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations. Mr. Lesser is also a member of the Committees on Business Banking and Commercial Financial Services of the ABA and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference. He often speaks at trade associations for banks and commercial finance companies.
Mr. Lesser served as Chairman of the National Tay Sachs & Allied Diseases' Advisory Board, and was the recipient of their Chai Award in 1995. He also served as President of the Villanova Law School Alumni Association. |
