After a fun life of avoiding homeroom at CHS, I attended Temple University undergraduate/Dental school, miraculously graduating in 1967. I then joined the Air Force, spending a couple years fighting dental decay in California, where i married Anna, an Air Force medic in '69. We have one child, Samantha, and two grandchildren: Rowan, 3 and Amara, 2 who live in Albuquerque. In '69 I squeezed into a post-grad program in Periodontics at Loyola of Chicago, Much to my parents' chagrin, I made a career of avoiding private practice by becoming an academician, eventually migrating to the University of Louiville, where I survived for twenty-seven years, climbing down the ivory tower in '02. Before my descent I was involved in directing preventive dentisry programs, continuing dental education, community services and Louisville's Health Department Program. We currently reside in Tampa and Albuquerque, dividing our time about equally in bvoth places. I continued to fulfill my passion for broadcasting (developed at CHS' WCEN- The radio Workshop) by reading newspapers for the blind at a Tampa Radio station. |
