In Dave's own words-
"After CHS,I attended Penn State University, graduating with a BSEE degree. In 1964 I flew off to Southern California, where I have remained, taking a job in missile engineering at
defense giant General Dynamics. In the 90s GD sold to Hughes which became Raytheon
where I still work today (45+ years). Retirement will probably happen this year. I also
obtained a Masters in Engineering from Cal State, Fullerton in 1973. I married
in 1967 to Gerrie, a beautiful native Californian, whose family came to CA in the 1920s.
We were together for 42 years until she was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor
and passed away in August 2009. I have two grown children living nearby, Elaine (husband Rob)and Aaron and three beautiful granddaughters (Isabelle, Rachel and Blanche). We have
enjoyed living in CA, previously in Claremont, CA (where my children went to a CHS) and for the last ten years near the beach in Carlsbad, CA just north of San Diego. My two CHS-graduate brothers (207, 218) also moved to CA where our families lived within blocks of each other until my work- related move to Carlsbad. We traveled almost yearly to
snorkel in Maui or to other interesting places like Australia, New Zealand, Israel, and the Mediterranean area. I stay active playing tennis, biking along the coast and taking longwalks around the area. My recent photo with my wife was taken at in September 2008.
