Neil attended University of Pennsylvania 1960-1964, Hahnemann Medical College 1964-1968, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, Philadelphia Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Fellowship 1968-1971. Neil was a US Air Force Major 1971-1973 at Travis Air Force Base. Dr. Schlackman began his private practice in Sellersville, PA and was Associate Professor of Pediatrics at St. Christopher's for seventeen years. Neil then became Seniot Medical Director for USHealthcare 1987-2001. Neil spoke extensively on Health care Policy and Quality of Health Care. He retired in 2001. Neil and his wife of 45 years, Cheryl (who attended our Junior and Senior proms) live in Jupiter, Florida at Admirals Cove. They have a son, Keith, a pharmaceutical representative for Genentech and a daughter, Lisa, 41 years old, a family physician in Bend, Oregon. Neil and Cheryl have three wonderful granddaughters 3, 7 and 9 years old. Neil feels privileged to have attended Central which provided him with the fundamentals for his future education/career and a source of life-long friends. |
