After Central, Rich attended Temple University, then Hahnemann Medical College. He did his medical internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center, then left Philadelphia for good and served six years in the Navy where he did his residency in Psychiatry at Oakland Naval Hospital. Dr. Rose moved to Southern California where he was in private practice until he moved to Maui, HI in 1991. He left private practice and joined the Veterans Administration in 2000. Rich and his wife moved from Maui in 2005 to the wild west cowboy town of Prescott, Az. Then in 2007 to Lecanto, FL in where he is currently the Chief of Psychiatry for the Community-Based Outpatient Clinics of the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Administration Health System. Rich says that he's been through the standard life changes - "one divorce, two marriages (the first 20 years, this one 25, I think it will last), heart attack & 4 vessel bypass graft, knee surgery for torn medial meniscus, confusion on seeing snapshots of me and wondering who that old guy is in the picture". Rich and his wife have four sons, all with professional careers, living in Florida, Iowa, Utah, California (doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?). I can't wait to see all you old (and I mean OLD) farts at the 50th!" Rich
