| Chaz came up from Miami to be with his classmates on this special occasion. We were all glad to see him and his wife, Esta, who have been happily married for forty-two years. Charles & Esta have three handsome married sons who have gifted them with eight grandchildren. After serving three years with Army Intelligence, Charles earned a Bachelors degree from the University of Hawaii and a Masters degree from the University of Miami. He became a CPA and a Partner in what is now the largest CPA firm in Florida and the 43rd largest in the country. He retired after being diagnosed with ALS in 1998. Fortunately the progression has been slow and other than poor speech and confinement to a wheelchair, he says he is doing fine. Esta and Charles continue to travel, mostly to visit their kids in Dallas, Austin and Philly. Charles constantly brags about CHS, and he is probably more proud of my diploma than my graduate degree.
