The girder work continues as the building takes shape. Looking at the South Lawn area from Ogontz Avenue. The Auditorium girders are in place on the right of the photo; the Barnwell Library has the rudiments of its girders constructed. The South Wing girder construction looks virtually completed. Block and brick work has begun on the South Wing.It is three months since the first girders were erected. A two-month strike in February and March would slow contruction to a crawl.
