| The original proposed site at Old York Road & W. Somerville Avenue for the current facility was rejected in favor of the Ogontz & Olney Avenue site, most probably because the acreage at Ogontz & Olney Avenues was greater and was needed for the envisioned spawling campus. The Ogontz & Olney site on the bluff made for a more dramatic location for CHS than the initial street-level site on Old York Road.
