Central High School Philadelphia 214th Class Website Webmaster Page
Hello my fellow Centralites- The website that you are visiting is now in its fourteenth year. During that time over 20,000 visits have been made...from many classes. Although the original intent was to educate and reminisce with my classmates of the 214th Class, information and updates have been shared and many incorporated by those of us from the 173rd class to the 273rd class. Many changes have occurred to our Alma Mater over the decades. Co-ed in 1982, extensions being added to the building such as a modernization program for the Barnwell Library, computer centers, meeting rooms in which many of you on a Class Reunion have enjoyed, expanded curriculum offers, and now a new Fine and Performing Arts complex to be located on the North Lawn as well as other state-of-the-art updates-- a -$42,000,000 undertaking scheduled to be started in 2019, the majority of the funding due in large part to the largesse of Joseph M. Field (192) and other fellow alumni. I urge you to take the time to wander through the pages of the 214th Class Website, reacquainting yourselves with 'Dear High, Dear Central High....thy mem'ries never die'. Let me know if you've enjoyed the stroll through Memory Lane or have comments and additions. Your thoughts and ideas will be incorporated into the website as we go forward. Looking forward to hearing from you. See you on the South Lawn!
Regards,
Allen Hirsh Webmaster
